Palace of Venaria Reale, next to Turin, the ancient lemon house of the, is actually hosting the exhibition ‘Easy Rider’ dedicated to the myth of motorbikes as a symbol of the human soul, interpreted as a metaphor of travel, freedom and search of an individual identity.
A place where, art, architecture and history merge with culture and society as a tribute to motorbikes.
The exhibition hosts a lot of iconic motorbike models including the Triumph Bonneville ridden by Steve McQueen in the movie ‘The Great Escape’, Valentino Rossi’s Yamaha and Casey Stoner’s Ducati, together with paintings, and pictures created by famous artists of 1900.
The exhibition is divided into 9 different sections: Italian style, shape and design; Japan and technology; Longing for Africa; Speed; Yes, Travel; London Calling; the African myth; Earth, mud and freedom; Motorbikes and cinema.
