Unveiled at an exclusive evening premiere at the Lamborghini Lounge in Porto Cervo to 200 guests and VIPs, the car illustrates the potential of Lamborghini personalization. US-based Dr. Woo, with a global following of millions, is known to an influential clientele and Hollywood elite for his single-needle work, blending tattoos, art and fashion. Crafting a particular style of single lines and highly intricate designs, his unique and highly individual style is clearly evident throughout the Giallo Inti (yellow) Huracán EVO Spyder.
Reflecting the strongly geometric lines, angular shapes and even the Y-motif found in Lamborghini design, Dr. Woo’s ‘tattoo’ on the Huracán’s profile accents the dynamism of the car, with black single-line work starting lightly from the front wing and developing in strongly geometric circles, with intersecting points and lines accenting the EVO Spyder’s sides and rear. On the bonnet a standalone geometric symbol draws the eye to the imposing front, with the equally intriguing linear tattoos on the EVO’s powerful rear focusing attention on the engine hood, bumper and exhaust outlets.
Opening the roof highlights the Huracán EVO Spyder’s interior in Nero Ade (black) and Giallo Taurus (yellow), personalized by Dr. Woo with his trademark, highly symmetrical icons depicting the perfect proportions of planetary and angular references, through meticulously measured and drawn geometrical lines and spheres tattooed on the seat leather.
“The very specific creation of this car through Lamborghini’s Ad Personam department demonstrates our infinite customization possibilities: every Lamborghini model is a masterpiece, every Ad Personam design is the totally personalized creation of an individual,” says Federico Foschini, Chief Commercial Officer. “Every one of Dr. Woo’s tattoos is a highly-personal lifestyle expression: Dr. Woo’s concept for this Huracán EVO Spyder epitomizes a unique work of art which, together with performance and sound, is what defines a Lamborghini.”
With the Spyder version launched this year, the Huracán EVO is the next-generation V10 Lamborghini: the first to feature predictive logic on vehicle dynamic control, with highly sophisticated aerodynamics. The naturally-aspirated Huracán EVO Spyder delivers 640 hp and 600 Nm of torque, with acceleration from 0-100 km/h in just 3.1 seconds and a top speed of over 325 km/h.
The car unveiled in Porto Cervo can be seen on display by invited guests and visitors to the Lamborghini Lounge during the summer season in Sardinia. The premiere of the car is just one event held during the summer, where guests enjoyed a Champagne reception courtesy of Perrier Jouët, and explored the world of Lamborghini including its partnerships with Italian lighting design brand Artemide; interior design company Visionnaire; and Bodyfriend’s high-tech massage chair combining medical science and super sports car design.
The Lamborghini Lounge in Porto Cervo is open to clients and VIPs until 8 September 2019, located on the Promenade du Port adjacent to Porto Vecchio.
